Commute Seattle – 50% rebate on ORCA for small businesses

Last year, the Washington State Legislature recently designated $1 million to help small employers in the Puget Sound region offer ORCA for Business transit benefits for their employees. We’re excited to announce that the program has been extended for a second year! Through this program, the state will provide a 50% rebate on an employer’s investment in ORCA passes, up to $10,000 per business.

In order to qualify, an employer must:

  • Employ fewer than 100 employees at an individual worksite
  • Have not previously offered transit subsidies

Employers can choose between ORCA Passport or Choice, can cost share with employees as much or as little as they’d like and can combine this program with pre-tax deductions for their employees.

This is an incredible opportunity and is being allocated on a first-come, first-served basis through Commute Seattle, a nonprofit that partners with regional transit agencies to work directly with businesses.

To see if your business or organization qualifies, we encourage you to contact Nick Abel at nicka@commuteseattle.com or 206-613-3233. Commute Seattle is available to provide free consultations and assistance to businesses on an individual basis and help you get enrolled in this exciting new program.

Thanks,

Nick Abel
