This event is being presented through the Initiative on Community Engagement, sponsored by the Queen Anne Community Council and the Queen Anne Block Captains Network, and will feature a presentation by the Third Door Coalition. Third Door’s mission is to solve chronic homelessness through permanent supportive housing (PSH). They will share five strategies that they have identified to reduce the cost of building PSH. Presenters include: Andrew Lewis – Seattle City Council District 7 and Chair, Select Committee on Homelessness Strategies & Investments Chad Mackay – co-founder and co-chair of Third Door Coalition, CEO of Fire & Vine Hospitality whose portfolio includes the iconic El Gaucho restaurant Matt Galvin – Third Door Coalition board member, and co-owner of Pagliacci Pizza and Macrina Bakery John Torrence – Plymouth Housing, Senior Real Estate Developer
Following the presentation, we will have about 30 minutes for participants’ questions to Third Door Coalition presenters, and to Council Member Andrew Lewis, who will be attending. The purpose of this Initiative on Community Engagement is to bring information to the Queen Anne community about topics that impact our neighborhood, facilitate presentations by organizations working to build well-thought-out programs and solutions, provide a forum for dialogue between Queen Anne residents, city officials, and these organizations, and promote active engagement from Queen Anne residents in building an even better neighborhood
